2. Trent: What is the new helmet that Eric Staal is wearing on bauer.com and when will it be out in stores?
The helmet Eric Staal is wearing is the new Bauer 7500 helmet. It will be available in store in the spring of 2010.
3. Brad: hi am wondering where i can get 14" custom 4roll gloves black and orange? they have them at a local hockey store but they are a size to small. all the stores say i have to make a team order to get them. is there any way i can get black an orange 14" 4 rolls? or possibly order them?
The Black/Orange gloves fall under our Make To Order Program. We offer up individual player colors during a certain period of time in which the retailers need to order the inventory they need for the season. We currently do not stock every color through the season. Sorry for the inconvenience. Best bet would be to look online or ask your local retailer to order your size during their next booking season.
4. James: What does the 9500 helmet offer that the 8500 does not?
The 9500 helmet has a Fused Expanded Polypropylene(FXPP) liner which tranmits 20% less enegery during impact than the same volume of traditional EPP foam. It also has a Thermo Core which obsorbs and releases excess heat.
5. Andrew: When will the Bauer X:60 stick be avaliable for customization?
The Vapor X:60 Stick will be available for customization in early November. We'll keep you posted and make an announcement when it's available.
6. Steve: I just bought my daughter a pair of Bauer Vapor X:20 skates through an on-line retailer. Do they have to be baked, and if so, for how long and at what temp?

The Bauer pattern/curve comparable to the Misson Hossa is the Malkin PM9.
8. Jack: What is Bauer's curve to CCM's Ovechkin?
At retail, the Bauer pattern/curve you would want is the Staal P91A. If you're ordering through iD, then the P91 is even closer.
9. Devin: If I order a custom one95 will it just say bauer on it?
Hi Devin, The One95 sticks on iD will be Bauer branded when the Vapor X:60 stick becomes available. This will be available in early November.
10. Ethan: What is the bauer curve to TPS Nash?
The Bauer pattern you would want is the Backstrom P92, formerly known as the Naslund P92.

Bought a pair of 0ne95 from a team mate that found them to big. The fit is good, bilsters are horrible, to be expected though. Can I cook the skates again or is it something you can just do once?

I bought an Itech Prodigy 4.8 goalie chest protector a few years ago and the velcro it no longer sticks. Everytime i go down and up the velcro comes undone. Is there any way i can get this fixed or is it time for a new chest protector?

I have a pair of Bauer Supreme 8000s and the blade is loose in the back. I took the soul out and the cap. What size socket will tighten the blade?? I tried the 3/8" and 5/16" w/o success.

hi. my daughters' novice hockey team has just started their new season.
we need a bit of a leg up trying to identify the kids quickly, so we wanted to use Brother P-Touch name labels on their helmets. In roaming the net there seems to be a concern whether the adhesive will effect the continuity of the plastic of the helmet(s). Both my daughters have the Bauer NBH1500XS. Can you offer any help here?

I purchased ONE55 hockey pants for my 7-year old son a couple of months ago. The edges of velcros in inner legs have already torn the pants shell material by just wearing them. We do not use the velcros. I believe this is a flow in design.

We bought a Bauer FM2500 XS/TP "Bullistic" for our son to rodeo in. One of the plastic chin strap snaps broke--it's the part that is the snap that goes onto the helmet. I have an ITECH face shield that I started wearing again. Now, it's a few years old but it continues to fog up and I can't find a solution. I've tried 3 different types of spray-on ed-foggers, but it continues to fog-up. Can anyone help me. It's tough lpayer when you can't see the puck. I might try woindshield wipers next. Bauer, please send my a new visor to see if it's just my breathing pattern.

Why are some of the rivets on the bottom of a skate copper, and the majority of the rivets steel? Every skate I've ever seen has this, and nobody has ever been able to explain why.

I am recovering from arthroscopic shoulder surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and a SLAP tear which occurred to due slamming into the boards shoulder first about 4 months ago. I would like to replace my shoulder pads with something more protective to avoid reinjuring the joint and wondered what you might suggest for someone who plays primarily over 35 hockey. Also, is there any additional protective gear you might recommend that I wear under or along with the shoulder pads?

How do I get in touch with customer service for Nike Bauer? My 12 yr old son just got a new pair of Nike Bauer Vapor 40's and while tieing them, the grommet pulled out. We had to take them to a shoe repairman and he rigged up something to fix them. We called the store where we bought them and the warranty has expired. The other option was to send them back to Nike (not very convenient during the season!). I like to think my son's a goon but I don't think a 12 year old should be able to pull out the grommet! Is this a problem with these particular skates?

Re: the daughter with the p-touch label maker. I know we're way into the season but why not just use a piece of wide surgical tape? The person with the visor problem-I'm not a professional but maybe try wiping the visor with a solution of rubbing alcohol and water. I'd test it in a small area first. Wish Bauer had a regular "contact us" on the website.

I bought 2 Helmuts for my kids last year ad they were decommissioned due to cracks in the same spot and I found out that all of them had this problem It is the NBH550 and the crack is on the left side of te helmuton the top part near the front of the top part where the screw is to adjust the size. Now I had to buy new ones and the retailer would not do anything for us except telling us to contact Bauer.

What flex for a stick should I get? I am 5 foot 9 and 180 lbs. Another question, I don't use a stick um stick. When I take slap shots the stick twist in my lower hand. I was wondering if the corner grip like on the supreme one 95 would help or if stick um is the way to go. Thaks

I purchased a pair of Vapor XVI skates one week ago. Second time out I took a shot in the ankle denting the left skate,dropping me like a rock. Is this normal for these new skates to dent with an old timers wrist shot? I am concerned the skates integrity has been lost in this area of the skate. Warranty?
