Ovechkin Nets OT Winner
Alex Ovechkin helped the Washington Capitals pick up a huge two points when he ripped home his 26th goal of the year and the overtime game winner goal against the the New York Islanders.
Since 2005-06, the GR8 has the most overtime winning goals than any other NHL player with 11. Check out his latest game winner below!
Lundqvist Sets Record
Already known as one of the elite goaltenders in the NHL, Henrik Lundqvist has taken his game to another level this year.
Lundqvist is now 30-12-4 with a 1.75 goals against average and a league best .940 save percentage. He also leads the league in shutouts with eight.
By picking up his 30th win of the season Monday night, Lundqvist became the first goalie in NHL history to record 30 or more wins in his first seven seasons in the league.
"It means that things have been going well, but it also means that I played for a club that's given me an opportunity to play a lot," Lundqvist said. "I have a pretty good team in front of me, as well. I'm happy I reached it again. You always want to improve each year. So far this year it's been a good ride."
Lundqvist and the Rangers currently sit in first place in the Eastern Conference with 86 points.

Kiprusoff Picks Up #300
Congratulations to Miikka Kiprusoff on winning his 300th career game on Wednesday night! Kiprusoff became just the 27th goalie in NHL history to reach 300 wins.
"It's a nice number," Kiprusoff said. "But right now, it's not that big of a deal. It's a nice. But right now, we have an opportunity where we might get into the playoffs. We need those points. But yeah, it's a good number.
This season, Kipper has 24 wins, a 2.30 goals against average and a .920 save percentage.
