Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves and Marc Staal scored his first goal of the playoffs to lead the Rangers to a 2-1 win against the Ottawa Senators in Game 7.
"It's just a great feeling," Lundqvist said. "Doing it together, especially the way we played the whole series as a team. So we will enjoy this tonight, and then we will start all over again."
In the seven games series, Lundqvist had a 1.70 GAA, a .945 save percentage and one shutout.
The Rangers will now face Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in the second round. Game 1 is Saturday at 3pm EST on NBC.
