Growing up in Ontario, in the small town of Thunder Bay, the Staal family never imagined a day like yesterday was possible.
"It's like a dream come true," said the boy's father, Henry Staal.
On Thursday night, Jared Staal, the youngest of the brothers, made his NHL debut with the Carolina Hurricanes and started the game on the same line as his older brothers, Eric and Jordan.
"It was kind of surreal," Jared Staal said.
It is just the fourth time in NHL history three brothers played for the same team at the same time, and the first time in 28 years. Marc Staal, the second oldest of the brothers, also plays for the New York Rangers.

Eric, Jordan, Jared and the Hurricanes will hit the ice again on Saturday night when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
