Bauer All-Stars

The roster for the 2011-12 NHL All-Star game was announced recently and Bauer Hockey will be well represented in Ottawa for this year's game!

1. Claude Giroux: Giroux has 18 goals and 37 assists and leads the Flyers in points with 55.

2. Alex Ovechkin: Ovechkin leads the Capitals with 20 goals and also has 19 assists for 39 points.

3. Steven Stamkos: Stamkos leads the league in goals with 32. He also has 20 assists for a team high 52 points.

4. Jonathan Toews: The Blackhawks captain leads his team in goals with 27 and also has 23 assists for 50 points.

5. Patrick Kane: The talented playmaker has 11 goals and 30 assists for 41 points this season and is helping the Blackhawks stay at the top of the Western Conference.

6. Henrik Lundqvist: Lundqvist's 1.87 GAA and .937 save percentage put him in the top five in both categories. He also has 22 wins and five shutouts, which has helped lead the Rangers to the top of the Eastern Conference.

7. Brian Elliot: Elliot is having a career season in which he is first in the league with a 1.69 GAA and his .938 save percentage is good for third in the league. He is 15-5-2 and has five shutouts as well.

8. Tyler Seguin: In just his second season, Seguin has become the Bruins leading scorer and an All-Star. The nineteen year old has a team high 19 goals and 43 points. He also leads the league in plus/minus with a +34 rating.

9. Jordan Eberle: The second year winger is having a career year and leads the Oilers in goals, (18) assists,(27) and points (45).

10. Matt Read: Read, who has 15 goals, 16 assists and 31 points for the Philadelphia Flyers, has been selected as an All-Star Rookie.

11. Cody Hodgson: Hodgson has also been selected as an All-Star Rookie as he has 13 goals and 16 assists for 29 points to help Vancouver's potent offense.

All-Star Weekend is January 28th and 29th in Ottawa, Ontario.

Eller Nets Four!

Congratulations to Lars Eller of the Montreal Canadiens on picking up his first career hat trick and his four goal performance.

Eller scored four goals and picked up an assist for a five point night during the Canadiens 7-3 against Winnipeg.

"You never know when you're going to go out there again, so you better make it last," Eller said.

Eller picked up his fourth goal of the night on a penalty shot in which he used an amazing spin-o-rama move and slid the puck home on his backhand.

"It might be a once-in-a-lifetime thing, four goals," Eller said. "It's just incredible, and I just want to thank my teammates for helping me." Eller now has 8 goals and 9 assists on the season.

Shootout Star

Patrick Kane scored an amazing shootout goal against the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night. Check out the amazing moves and stickhandling that Kane was able pull off in the video below.

Kane has eight goals, 23 assists and 31 points for the first place Chicago Blackhawks this season.

Canada Junior Team Roster Announced

Team Canada announced its roster for the 2012 World Junior Championships. Congratulations to Tanner Pearson, Brett Connolly and all the players that made this year's roster.

This years tournament will be taking place in Calgary and Edmonton in Canada between December 26, 2011 - January 5, 2012.

Giroux Leading the League

Claude Giroux has quickly become a superstar in the NHL and the league is becoming well aware of the amazing skills the young sniper possesses. Giroux scored the overtime winning goal and picked up three assists during Philly's 5-4 win against Buffalo on Wednesday night.

Giroux now has 16 goals and 20 assists on the season for a league leading 36 points. Check out his breakaway overtime winning goal below!

The GR8 Breaks Out

Alex Ovechkin broke out in Ottawa on Wednesday with a spectacular highlight reel goal. The Capitals captain took the puck the length of the ice, circled around the net, stopped on a dime, and then ripped home his ninth goal of the year. Check out the amazing goal below!

Ovechkin now has nine goals and and 11 assists on the season.

Foligno Dangles

Nick Foligno of the Ottawa Senators scored a highlight reel goal against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Check out the sick dangle and the one-handed finish that Foligno was able to complete.

Foligno now has nine goals and nine assists on the season for the Senators.

Seguin Nets First Career Hat Trick

Tyler Seguin scored his first career hat trick on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs and helped lead the Bruins to a 7-0 victory.

"I was a Leafs fan growing up," said Seguin, who grew up in the Toronto area. "To get my first hat trick here, it's pretty cool."

Seguin now leads the Bruins in goals (7), assists (7) and points (14).

Stamkos' Hat Trick Leads Tampa

Steven Stamkos scored three goals in the second period and picked up his fourth career hat trick on Friday night. The three goals helped the Lightning pull off a 5-4 OT win against Chicago.

"Once we get settled in, we're a tough team to play against," Stamkos said.

Stamkos now has a team high nine goals and four assists for 13 points. Check out the sniper's hat trick in the video below.

Kipper Sets Flames Win Record

Bauer Hockey would like to congratulate Miikka Kiprusoff of the Calgary Flames for becoming the all-time wins leader in Flames' history.

Kiprusoff stopped 35 shots on Thursday night to lead Calgary to a 4-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens. The win gave Kiprusoff 263 carrer wins as a Flame.
